Short One
So this post is going to be short. I just have to say we had a great time with friends this past weekend. We went out to dinner and then bowling. Oh goodness it was a blast. We need to do it more often!
On a different subject... Stacey was in town this past week and we had a fun time too. I made a blanket for her and she loved it. We spent time together on Thursday. We went out to lunch just the girls (me, Stacey, Alex, and mom). We had a lot of fun. I have pictures to post. Garrett also turned 14 on the 27th. I can't believe he is growing up so fast!
Last subject... Our house is almost done! I can't wait. We are going to do the walk through on April 7th, close on April 9th and then hopefully move in on April 11th :) We are so excited for it to happen.
I will try and post some pictures soon of our weekend and when Stacey was here and then maybe some of the house!

One year!
Wow how time flies! We can't believe we have been married for a year already! It doesn't feel like we've done a lot but here are some of the things we did do...
Visited Candice in Cedar City
Moved Justin's sister to Idaho
Been to 4 concerts
Justin has been in 2 bands and his own solo project. He has also had one cd release and one soon to come! Along with that comes a few concerts themselves.
Lauren has made a few blankets/quilts
Moved from our apartment back in with his parents
Bought a town home (which will hopefully be done the first week of April)
Went on a cruise
Went to Jordan's graduation
Totalled 2 cars (we both had one since we've been married)
Going to school and working full time
We've also enjoyed spending time with family! There is a lot more that we've done but I can't think of them right now. We are excited for the years to come!

Music
For those of you who haven't heard my band I just thought I would post all the music, and give you access to buy the album if you like it. If you listen to it in order there is a story that goes along with the music.

Home Sweet Home
On Thursday Justin and I went out to look at town homes. This was our first time actually going and looking at them. We have looked at homes but we have really only looked at town homes online. Well we went into this one and fell in love with it. So we made and offer and found out on Friday that the builder accepted the offer. Now we are just waiting for the approval letter which will come on Monday to get the loan! We are so ecstatic about it and cannot wait. We can't move in for another 5 weeks because its not quite finished yet. Here are some pictures of the town home!

Here is some pictures of a home that they had finished so you can kind of get an idea of what it is going to look like. The cabinets aren't going to be the same. Also this one doesn't have a basement but its similar.
This is just kinda an over view. We will post pictures when its finished. Sorry they aren't the best pictures. Justin made a video but we can't get it onto the computer. Its not the best though cause he video tapes really fast so its very dizzy!

Craft it Forward
The first three people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year.
4- You have no clue what it's going to be.
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 3 people who do the same on your blog. The first 3 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

Adventure
So Justin and I had an adventure today. It was pretty fun too. For the past couple of weekends we have been looking at houses. Today we went out to look at houses with our realtor who is also our friend. We are driving on U-111 and we figured out that the road we needed didn't have a turn off on there so we decided to go off-roading (I think thats the term). So we were cutting through this huge field/dirt pile that wasn't really that big if you saw it. We were doing just fine had to turn around a couple of times because we turned the wrong way while trying to get to the road we wanted to be on. We get to the end and we have to make it over this hill to get our car back on the road and not in the mud (the ground was all wet and snowy). So Justin and our realtor and in our realtor's truck try to make it over this huge pile of mud and snow and they get high centered. Luckily there was a guy there in a truck who was also trying to do the same thing so he pulled them back down over the pile to come out a different way. I had walked down and found a spot where they could come out of so they tried it. They got stuck there too. It was flat and everything but there was a lot of snow so of course no way for them to get out. So the other truck makes it over the part where we couldn't and comes to pull us out of where we were. Two tow ropes and a chain later we are still stuck and not going anywhere. So some other gentlemen come and are trying to help us when these "rednecks" come and start to dig us out. They are using their shovels and trying to get the tires out from all the snow. The gentlemen leave because they had somewhere to be and the first truck had left long before them and we were still stuck. Finally a last guy had come and we used his tow rope along with all the shoveling we had got the truck out of the mud and snow and back on the road. The last guy who came we broke both hooks on his tow rope and because it was stuck and the hook broke, it sprang back and broke our realtors grill on his truck. I felt so bad! This had taken us like 2 and a half hours just to get us out! We thought we would have been done looking at houses by then but it was a fun experience. We now have a story to laugh about. We were talking to our friend and were like its a good thing it was with us 'cause no one else would have let you do that or had this much fun! As a side note, the truck was out of gas when we first got stuck and it was very cold outside! It started to rain on us thats how long we took.

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas everyone! Justin and I had a great Christmas together. It was our first Christmas being married! We spent time with my family because his parents were visiting his sister and her family. We enjoyed spending time with them. Justin got to experience some of my favorite traditions that my family has this time of year like going to Grandma's house for waffles, and then visiting my other Grandma and spending time with my cousins and seeing what my Grandma made this year for the grand kids :) Last but not least favorite tradition on Christmas is eating ham and funeral potatoes for dinner! Yum! Christmas Eve we always go out to dinner so that was a lot of fun. I hope to keep some of these traditions while including Justin's family traditions which I have yet to really experience. Next year is the year for his family traditions. We loved what we got for Christmas. We only opened one gift on Christmas and that was from my Grandma everything else was opened early but that's alright we enjoyed the moments that we opened them in. We were surrounded by family when we opened them and enjoyed the company.
In other news... today must have been the longest day for me. Leaving work early on Christmas Eve and having Christmas off just messed with my work schedule. Left work at 3 on Wednesday, had Thursday off then having to work until 6 on Friday is not a good mix especially after shoveling a foot and a half of snow on Thursday and having an aching back. (We really need to get Justin's parents some new snow shovels (: the metal one isn't working out that well :P )
Justin and I found out that my uncle knows a game that I only thought his family knew. It was funny 'cause when we were at my Grandma's for breakfast he brought in the game board and I was like I know that game. It was crazy. So we ended up showing him our game board because his was huge and we played a few games. It was awesome! We will have to get together some more and play it!

New Car
Just to let you all know Justin and I bought a new car on Saturday. It was our first time really buying a car ourselves from a dealership. We needed a car to replace Justin's old car. We have been looking for a long time checking out online and visiting dealerships and we finally found one that we both like. Its one of Justin's dream cars (he has a few that he knows he will never get). It would be a 2008 Scion TC! No it isn't one of the box looking cars, it is a sports car. It's dark blue with black interior. It has a sun roof, moon roof and a spoiler. We were excited to do this by ourselves! Hopefully there are more purchases to come (that is after we save up our money again!). I will try to post pictures. I'm not the best at posting them.

Catch Up
Wow its been a while since I've posted last. Well a lot has happened, hopefully I can remember it all. Justin had his band concert that went well. He said it wasn't the best they've done but they had a lot of fun and thats all that matters. We went out with a bunch of friends afterwards and ate dinner. We haven't done that in a very long time. It was nice to get out. Justin and I went to our friends Halloween party the week before Halloween and we dressed up as a 50's couple. It was funny seeing Justin with his hair slicked back and trying to roll up his pants. On Halloween at my work we the girls dressed up as Miss Universe (we couldn't do Miss America because we have people from around the world). I got to wear my prom dresses again which was a lot of fun. We made up things for the guys. One guy dressed up as a football player so he was our body guard. Another was the photographer/member of the audience. We also had a judge and a person for entertainment (he was a singer). Halloween night we stayed in though and worked on some homework and Justin played some PS3. Lets see here, We went to the Metallica concert the beginning of November. We had some fun there too. We met up with some friends there and enjoyed talking to them when we took them home.
I can't wait for school to be over! I'm enjoying my classes I just don't know how much longer I can stand them. My teachers seem to be repeating themselves. Justin I know feels the same way. He is ready to be done.
I am almost finished with my quilt that I started in the summer when we didn't have any school. I had it all tied by the time school had just started and I was waiting to do the binding. Me and my mother-in-law couldn't get the binding right so I took it to my Grandma and she figured it out. Our fabric was bunching because we were using too small of stitches. Because I'm not the best at bindings my mother-in-law is finishing the hand stitching for me. I'm so thankful she is doing that!
I think thats all I had to post to catch up on our lives.

Moving
I guess its a big trend going on or something :) Anyways Justin and I have decided to move back in with his parents to save a little more money to buy a house :) :) :) We decided this right before Justin had his accident and we already paid out our lease so we will be moving this Friday and Saturday. I'm taking some time off work on Thursday to pack and Justin is taking off from work at 12 to start moving us. Saturday we will finish moving. If any one would like to help that would be great! Its not a lot but we have some heavy furniture that we need to get out and then get the cleaning done (which hopefully shouldn't be a lot because we have only been here for 6 months). I just thought I would let the family know. If you some how have our apartment address it is no longer valid! (I don't think anyone has it but just a thought). Please send any mail to the address listed on the family tree that is if its not the apartment address. If not you can either contact my parents or you can just send the mail to my parents house. Thanks everyone!
